The founder of Calm In A Box has launched her innovative wellbeing festival for 2026, which aims to improve people’s mental health.

Sarah Markham, whose business works with companies across the UK to help teams function better through consultancy, workshops and coaching, has opened up applications for CALMfest.

Now in its fourth year, CALMfest is a week-long online festival of events and activities, which runs during Mental Health Awareness Week from 11 to 15 May.

Once again sponsored by the Nuclear Industry Association, the festival is designed to help people “pause, reset and build better balance between doing and being” through improved mental health and mental fitness.

This year’s event, which will being raising money for the Mind mental health charity, features three half-hour sessions run online each day, designed to help employees thrive by learning from experts on a range of topics.

This year’s festival will feature sessions on improving sleep, better gut health, building neurodiverse friendly workplaces, financial wellbeing and the latest insights on managing your menopause mind.

There will also be daily lunchtime speaker spotlight sessions exploring the future of work.

Each day also features a 1% CALMer Challenge, with prizes up for grabs, encouraging small, achievable actions that make a difference.

The week wraps up with a Friday community session, where participants can connect, reflect and share their own CALMfest stories.

Sarah said: “It’s been lovely to watch CALMfest grow and develop over the past four years, and it’s become a really special part of our Calm in a Box ecosystem, particularly the focus on community and learning together within and across the organisations that take part.

“CALMfest has now raised thousands of pounds for Mind and the messages that come through with each donation are a joy to see.”

All events will be booked via the CALM hub and session recordings will also be made available for seven days.

The sign-up deadline is 31 March for participating organisations.

The entrance fee includes unlimited access to the events and activities programme for a company’s people, with the option for participants to make a voluntary donation to Mind when taking part.
