New Derby radio station set to hit the airwaves
A new radio station for Derby is preparing to hit the airwaves after announcing its presenter line-ups.
Derby ONE will officially hit the airwaves on Saturday 15 November at 8am, featuring local voices and upbeat music.

The station will be broadcasting live across the city on launch day, meeting listeners face-to-face and celebrating the return of local radio to Derby.
Derby ONE has confirmed that Elliot Holman will kicks off weekdays from 6am with Derby ONE Breakfast.
From 10am, Chris Birks takes over with The Music Derby Loves, keeping listeners company through the working day, before Dan Martin takes over at 3pm, offering the latest travel updates and a soundtrack of upbeat hits from the 80s to today.
Derby ONE is already on the air with a pre-launch preview, which gives listeners a chance to download the free mobile app, set up smart speakers (Amazon Alexa or Google Home), and enjoy the music mix ahead of launch.
A city-wide DAB multiplex is to be licensed by Ofcom, with Derby ONE set to join the digital airwaves across the city in 2026.
