Staff complete charity cycling challenge

Staff at medical device manufacturer Pennine Healthcare have completed a cycling challenge in aid of Safe and Sound.
They recently held their annual Cross Trainer Challenge event in the reception area of the firm’s Derby base to raise money for their chosen charity for 2025, which helps vulnerable children and young people affected by exploitation.

The event saw teams from across the business take on a seven-hour endurance challenge to see who could travel the furthest distance on cross trainers.
Representatives from Safe and Sound joined the event on the day, helping to engage colleagues, raise awareness about the charity’s mission and even take part in the event themselves.
Tracy Harrison, chief executive at Safe and Sound, said: “We are absolutely blown away by the dedication and incredible effort of the Pennine Health team
“The event was not just a fantastic display of teamwork and perseverance, but it also raised much-needed funds that will directly help us transform the lives of vulnerable children and young people in Derbyshire.”
Dan Wilson, head of marketing and communications at Pennine, said: “Here at Pennine, we put a lot of emphasis on bringing our purpose to life, and our annual sporting challenge is always a highlight in our staff’s calendars.
“This year, we are delighted to be raising money for Safe and Sound, and I want to thank all our staff for their effort in the Cross Trainer Challenge.”
