Firm’s chosen charity is a fitting choice

Clowes Developments has announced it will be supporting a cancer charity over the next 12 months.
Macmillan Cancer Support has been selected as the group’s charity of the year following its annual employee-led nomination and voting process.

This year, the vote to support Macmillan holds special significance for the company.
2025 marks the 10-year anniversary of the passing of the group’s founder, Charles Clowes. It is also a time to honour the memory of much-loved colleague and friend, Paul Turner, who passed away earlier this year.
In their memory, the group has chosen to support a cancer charity that provides critical help to people and families affected by cancer across the UK.
Managing director Thomas Clowes said: “We’re excited to contribute to Macmillan’s extraordinary efforts through a series of fundraising events and initiatives over the next 12 months.”
During the last financial year, Clowes Developments raised more than £7,000 for its former chosen charity Derbyshire Mind.
