Manufacturer Tidyco has recently visited by the Deputy Mayor of London for Transport to highlight the important role suppliers make to ensure the smooth running of rail services in the capital.

The Derby firm, which is a leading provider of hydraulic and pneumatic components to the rail industry, welcomed Seb Dance for a tour of its facility.

The visit was part of an effort to highlight to the Government the importance and need for long-term funding in order to protect the jobs of companies across the country who supply and support the smooth running of Transport for London (TfL).

The tour included a walk around Tidyco’s recently opened Rail Overhaul Facility, which has helped improve the longevity of TfL’s assets, as well as ensuring cost savings over the duration of contracts.

Paul Jacks, Tidyco’s rail division director, said: “We were extremely proud to welcome Seb Dance and the other delegates to Tidyco.

“We feel it really shows how much of a huge impact an SME can have on a concern like TfL and we look forward to continually supporting them.”
