Vibrant Accountancy has welcomed its ninth new member as it continues to go from strength to strength.

The award-winning Derby accountancy and business advice company has appointed 24-year-old Katie Walton to their growing team.

Katie has an advanced diploma in accounting and is studying for her professional diploma with city-based EMA Training – a 15-month course, where she will learn all core aspects of accountancy, including business awareness, ethical standards, regulations and compliance and systems and processes.

She said: “I am absolutely delighted to have joined Vibrant Accountancy and my first few weeks in the job have flown by.

“I have worked for various organisations helping ensure that their internal finances run smoothly – more recently I worked for an IT company – and I’m really enjoying the variety here at Vibrant.”

“I like the fact that, with the apprenticeship, I’m learning on the job,” said Katie, “working with Vibrant gives me the experience and if there is a particular module with which I need a little extra support, then the Vibrant team are here to help. They have the experience and are only too willing to help.”

Co-founder Bev Wakefield is delighted to welcome Katie on board. She said: “Vibrant is a fast-growing business and Katie joins us at an exciting time of growth.

“We want Vibrant Accountancy to boost the local economy after what has been such a difficult couple of years, recruiting staff from the region who want to work with us and who we can train and help blossom.”
