Vaillant Live has announced it will be using its platform this festive season to help raise funds for Children First Derby.

Derby’s 3,500 capacity venue will be reaching out to ticketholders, social media followers and subscribers asking for donations to the charity.

The Legend’s Global venue will be offering the charity tickets for the children to enjoy during the festive period.

And venue sponsor, Vaillant, has agreed to match the total amount raised.

Established in 1974, Children First Derby supports vulnerable children, young people and families across Derby and Derbyshire.

It provides three key services: family support for parents facing challenges at home, mentoring for young people aged 10 to 18 and supervised contact for children in care to safely maintain relationships with their birth families.

Last year, the charity supported more than 600 vulnerable children and young people.

As part of this year’s appeal, donations will go towards giving a present to each one of the children and young people this Christmas.

Irshad Baqui, chief executive at Children First Derby, said: “Children First Derby is honoured to be working with Vaillant Live this Christmas.

“Vaillant Live is a new vibrant venue in Derby and we are excited and grateful to work alongside them to support vulnerable children across Derby, especially at Christmas.

“The money raised will go to supporting these children and families to make sure they have a special Christmas, full of joy.”

Marcus Sheehan, general manager at Vaillant Live, said: “We’re delighted to support Children First Derby this Christmas.

“This time of year can be so tricky for many people – and for so many reasons – so the work that the team at Children First Derby do is so important.

“Hopefully we can use our platform and customer base to raise crucial funds for young people in Derby over the festive period.”

Henrik Hansen, managing director at Vaillant UK and Ireland, said: “At Vaillant, we believe in making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work.

“Supporting Children First Derby this Christmas is our way of helping vulnerable children and families experience the joy and warmth of the festive season.

“Together with Vaillant Live and generous donations, we hope to make this festive period brighter for those who need it most.”
