Digital and IT apprenticeship training provider Althaus Digital is set to host a summit, which aims to address the skills gaps preventing digital innovation and growth.

The East Midlands Digital Skills Summit is set to take place on Thursday 19 October at the firm’s offices, in Victoria Way, on Pride Park.

It will look to bring together key stakeholders from across the region to explore the solutions available.

Featuring interactive workshops and an expert panel, the event will run from 2pm to 4pm.

In a statement, Althaus said: “Whether you’re a business owner, technical lead or policymaker, this is a unique opportunity to connect with likeminded IT and digital influencers to examine the practical solutions to some of the most pressing issues facing our local economy.

“It’s an opportunity for forward thinking employers to learn more from an expert panel about the specialist IT/digital talent-gen, training and upskilling solutions currently available to them (many of which are heavily subsidised by government), and hopefully reach a position to make some well-informed positive commitments to significantly enhancing the digital capabilities of their business for the long-term.”
