Toyota UK offers Lean learning opportunities

Toyota UK is offering places on its Lean Approach Seminars to promote fundraising for the Toyota Manufacturing UK Charitable Trust.

In 2021, the Charitable Trust raised over £210,000, supporting many charities and organisations and since 1992, Toyota UK and the Charitable Trust have donated over £7 million to the local community. Funds raised by the latest seminars will support charities and community groups local to the Burnaston and Deeside facilities.

On the subject of ‘Increasing quality, efficiency and competitiveness via a Lean Approach’, the new 2022 seminars will give delegates an in depth introduction to the world famous Toyota Production System (TPS), including:

1. a visit to its 3 Best Development Obeya – structuring & visualising job roles as a key tool for member & operations development;
2. a visit to its Quality Learning Centre ;
3. experiential Shop-floor Tours – making the link from theory to practice; and
4. a Q&A Session with Senior Management.

The experiential tours will include Floor Management Development System (Style) to enable delegates to see how Toyota UK keeps the standard through effective visualisation, providing easy and quick detection of abnormalities, allowing active daily problem solving within the framework of clear targets/KPIs. Plus, Standardised Work & Kaizen (Body Manufacturing) for delegates to see the Toyota Process Management Method.

Sessions run from 7:30am to 16:30pm on Wednesday 23 March 2022; Wednesday 13 April 2022; and Wednesday 13 July 2022 for individual delegates. Dedicated company seminars are available on request.

The cost of the seminar is £1,100 per delegate, which goes to the Charitable Trust. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. Social distancing measures will be in place and the wearing of face masks is compulsory on site.
