Time running out to enter beer competition

Marketing Derby is urging people to submit their entries for a beer naming competition being run as part of its annual Food and Drink Awards.

To celebrate the awards’ 18th birthday, a limited-edition beer is being brewed, which will be served on the night of the awards on 12 October.

But it needs a name – and a competition has been launched to find the best one.

However, Marketing Derby is about to call time on the competition – and is urging people to get their entries in before the end of the week.

The winner will win two complimentary tickets to Derby CAMRA’s Derby Heritage Beer Festival, as well as a free pint of the beer on the awards night.

Christopher Tebbs, inward investment executive at Marketing Derby and Food and Drink Awards lead, said: “Here at Marketing Derby, we love a good pun, so the funnier and more creative the name, the better. The only rule is no ChatGPT!”

The winner will be contacted w/c 31 August.
