Theatre’s call to support creative hub fundraiser

Derby Theatre is urging fellow Marketing Derby Bondholders to get behind a campaign, which aims to raise money for a creative hub for young people.

Later this month, the theatre will taking part in the Big Give: Arts for Impact Campaign.

Between 18 and 25 March, it will have one week to raise £5,000 for its Bramblebrook Creative Hub.

Throughout the week, every donation made through the Big Give platform will be doubled.

The Bramblebrook Creative Hub is for young people living in the Stockbrook area of Derby.

The afterschool sessions provided by the hub are designed to engage youngsters and build their skills and confidence

Ananya Venkatesan, development officer at Derby Theatre, said “We need you, the Derby businesses community, to help us support young people in our city, and empower the future workforce through access to regular creative activity.”
