The latest deals done in Derby
Office lettings have dominated the list of deals done in Derby in recent weeks.
On the Wyvern Business Park, Salloway Property Consultants has successfully let office premises to law firm Austin Moore & Partners LLP, which has relocated from its Vernon Gate base to accommodate its continued growth.

Hugo Beresford, associate director at Salloway, who acted on behalf of a private landlord client, said: “I’m delighted to have acted on this matter and to have secured the letting.
“The property provides high-quality office accommodation in a well-connected business location – it is ideally suited to support the firm’s future growth plans and I wish the team every success in their new premises”.
Lucy Carter, from Austin Moore & Partners LLP, said: “Our new Derby office is a significant investment in the future of the firm and reflects both our continued growth and our long-term commitment to the city.
“We wanted premises that match the quality of the service we provide to our clients and give our team a first-class environment in which to work.”
On nearby Pride Park, BB&J Commercial has successfully let offices to fast-growing healthcare firm HearLink.
29 Brunel Parkway became vacant after IKOS AEGIS relocated into larger offices directly opposite.
Acting on behalf of IKOS AEGIS, BB&J has now let the premises to HearLink, which is an ambitious and fast‑growing organisation investing heavily in innovation, training and technology.

The property comprises a modern two‑storey office and training facility, offering high‑quality accommodation throughout.
Following a complete top‑to‑bottom transformation, the building now provides a mix of private offices, specialist clinical training rooms, a fully equipped boardroom, an academy and training floor and an impressive reception and client lounge.
Cameron Godfrey, surveyor at BB&J Commercial, said: “29 Brunel Parkway has been a fantastic instruction to work on.
“IKOS AEGIS’s move into larger premises created a rare opportunity on Pride Park and the subsequent refurbishment has resulted in one of the most impressive office and training environments on the estate.
“From the outset, HearLink demonstrated a clear vision for how the building would support their growth within the estate and we’re delighted to have secured a successful outcome for all parties.”
Staying on Pride Park, accountancy practice The Balancer has chosen Oberoi Business Hub as the base for the firm’s continued expansion across Derby and the wider East Midlands.

Nic Cooper, founder of The Balancer, has taken office space at the Pride Park business hub as he looks to strengthen his presence in Derby and support an increasing number of clients in the area.
With an established office in Uttoxeter, Nic identified Derby as a key growth area and selected Oberoi Business Hub as the ideal location to support his future ambitions.
Kavita Oberoi OBE, managing director of Oberoi Business Hub, said: “We continue to see strong demand from professional service businesses looking for flexible office space, access to meeting facilities and opportunities to connect with other ambitious organisations.
“We are delighted to welcome The Balancer to our growing business community and look forward to seeing Nic’s business continue to flourish.”
Elsewhere, BB&J Commercial is reflecting on a hat-trick of successful lettings at a Derby business park secured on behalf of Clowes Developments.
The firm has let Units B3, B4 and B5 at Crown Park Industrial Estate, in Parcel Terrace to Toolstation, Howdens Joinery and Angling Direct.
Graham Bancroft and Cameron Godfrey, from BB&J, acted on behalf of Clowes throughout the marketing and letting of the estate.

Cameron said: “Looking back, these lettings demonstrated the strength of demand for well-located trade counter accommodation within Derby.
“Crown Park offered occupiers modern space, excellent accessibility and strong neighbouring occupiers, all of which helped attract significant interest from the market.
“Securing Toolstation, Howdens Joinery and Angling Direct was an excellent result for our client and contributed to establishing Crown Park as a recognised destination for trade, retail warehouse and industrial occupiers while enhancing the overall value of the estate.”
Finally, in retail, Derbion has confirmed that footwear retailer OFFICE will be arriving at the shopping centre this summer.
It will open its 6,444 sq ft store on Level 2 of the centre, which will be the brand’s only Derbyshire location.

It will stock a curated selection of leading names such as adidas, Nike, Birkenstock, UGG, New Balance and ASICS, alongside exclusive styles from OFFICE’s in-house design team.
This latest addition follows a series of new retailer announcements at Derbion.
Beth McDonald, managing director at Derbion, said: “OFFICE is a fantastic addition to our retail offer and will bring some of the best names in footwear to the centre.
“We’re especially excited that the arrival will be the Derbyshire location for OFFICE.”
