Vibrant Accountancy, True MSP, CBI East Midlands, Alphageek Digital and Ascentant Accountancy are just some of the Marketing Derby Bondholders who have made new appointments over the past few weeks.

Vibrant Accountancy has boosted its growing team by bringing in a new client manager.

The Derby-based business has welcomed Gemma Bircumshaw as junior client manager.

Bev Wakefield, owner of Vibrant Accountancy, said: “This year will be a big one for our company and I’m excited to welcome Gemma to our team.

“She brings with her a wealth of experience and is a perfect fit for our team.”

Meanwhile, tech and IT support firm True MSP has appointed Anthony Richards to the newly created position of business development manager.

Anthony has previously worked with high profile clients such as Lloyds of London and Number 10 Downing Street and brings with him 20 years’ experience.

True MSP co-founder Neil Shaw said: “This is a new role within our growing business. Anthony has a wealth of experience and has reached a pivotal point in his career.

“So far, everyone in our company has been technical based. Anthony will be managing and maintaining our high levels of customer support and service as well as enhancing business development and providing account management back-up for us.”

Fast-growing digital marketing agency Alphageek has made a double appointment.

The Friar Gate-based firm has hired senior PPC specialist James Anderson and client success manager Issy McParland, to bring its headcount to 24.

James, 24, has joined the team from Center Parcs head office, in Newark, where he was employed as a PPC executive, after completing a digital marketing apprenticeship in Nottingham.

Meanwhile Issy, 27, has four years’ experience working for a fast-paced technology firm as a programme manager.

Ascentant Accountancy has announced the appointment of Jayne Sheehan to the newly created role of practice manager.

Bringing with her a wealth of leadership experience, in her new role Jayne will manage the day-to-day operational needs of the Derby-based business.

She is the first appointment to Ascentant’s management and leadership team as the firm restructures through a period of steady growth.

Her appointment will free up director Kevin Drew to focus on the firm’s strategic objectives, developing commercial partnerships, sales and marketing.

Kevin will also continue to manage the company’s recently launched Ripley office and development of its niche Legal PMS Migration services, having recently partnered with Clio among other International Legal Tech suppliers.

He said “We are really pleased to have Jayne on board at this crucial period in our growth.

“2023 saw us move to a new office to accommodate our growing team, launch our second office and increase our headcount, service lines and client base.”

Finally, business organisation CBI East Midlands has announced a new chair.

Danielle Gillett, the managing director and founding member of EMB Group, has taken over from Dr Nik Kotecha, who stands down after completing his appointed two-year term.

Nikki Paterson, CBI Midlands director, said: “Danielle brings a huge amount of experience cutting across all sectors of the economy.

“This year is of particular importance for local and regional politics, with Mayoral and national elections set to take place. I look forward to working closely with Danielle to ensure the region’s business voice is heard throughout.”
