Technology developed by E-learning solutions provider Marked Improvement is helping deliver a major national workforce development programme for the adult social care sector.

The Derby firm is powering a national TEC (Technology Enabled Care) workforce platform, which is now used by 10,000 staff across 80 organisations.

TEC is seen as a central part of the adult social care ecosystem, enabling older and vulnerable people to live independently, safely and confidently in their own homes.

On behalf of the TSA (the national body for TEC), Marked Improvement has provided both the digital platform and the online training for the TSA Learning Hub.

Using the firm’s Coursebeam learning-management system, the hub delivers the first nationally consistent training and assessment pathway for the TEC workforce, aligned to TSA’s Quality Standards Framework.

The TSA Learning Hub is now used by a variety of organisations, including local authorities, housing associations, alarm receiving centres, TEC responder services, charitable care providers and technology suppliers and installers.

The platform provides training, assessments, certificates, dashboards and reporting tools, supporting organisations to demonstrate competence, quality and compliance.

Charles Shields, director at Marked Improvement, said: “Technology Enabled Care is now a core part of how we support people to live well at home.

“Our role has been to translate TSA’s standards and expertise into practical, accessible training that frontline teams can rely on.

“Seeing thousands of workers from 80 organisations using the TSA Learning Hub shows just how important this capability has become for the wider care system.

“We’re pleased to be contributing to a national programme that strengthens services at a time when consistency and quality matter more than ever.”
