Social media expert to speak at prestigious conference
The founder of Status Social has been selected to speak at a prestigious national conference.
Mark Saxby will speak at TEDx Wolverhampton on 27 June, where the theme is Mind, Machine, Meaning.
His talk, Disconnected: Reclaiming Belonging in a Distracted World, will explore one of the biggest challenges facing society today: how smartphones are changing the way we live, work and connect with each other.

He was selected from nearly 200 applicants to be one of 12 speakers at the Wolverhampton event.
His talk will challenge the idea that being constantly connected is helping us live better lives.
Instead, he will argue that many of us are losing something far more important: our sense of belonging, our focus, and our ability to be fully present with the people in front of us.
Mark said: “Social media and smartphones are extraordinary tools.
“But they are not supposed to be where we live. The best parts of life still happen away from the screen.”
The TEDx talk will be filmed and, if selected for publication, released on the TEDx YouTube channel after the event.
