Shared Reading project releases new podcast episode

Derby Book Festival has announced a new episode of a podcast series, which aims to bring people closer together through reading.

Its Shared Reading community programme debuted its first podcast towards the end of last year.

The second episode is now available where the theme is ‘Colour’, with two original poems written especially for the episode, and a mini Shared Reading-style discussion which emulates the kind of open, reflective conversation seen in the festival’s Shared Reading groups.

The Shared Reading Podcast celebrates the joy of reading and the conversations it sparks. Hosted by volunteers it features local voices and authors from across the East Midlands.

The project is currently inviting short pieces of writing (poems, flash fiction, micro-memoir, reflections) and prospective guests, especially local writers, and Shared Reading volunteers/participants who might like to share their experience.
