Bespoke Inns – which owns pubs including The Boot at Repton and The Binary – is set to further invest in one of its sites.

Last year, the company successfully took over The White Hart, a historic coaching inn, in Uttoxeter.

Since relaunching the revamped venue as The Hart in October, it has proven a success – which has given Bespoke the confidence to purchase the freehold of the Hart Hotel and courtyard buildings from Malcolm Barrett.

Emily Nash, director at Bespoke Inns, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to purchase the freehold for The Hart as a whole, and would like to sincerely thank Malcolm Barrett for facilitating this.

“This acquisition allows us to take our vision for The Hart to the next level.

“Building on the progress we’ve already made, we will now focus on addressing outstanding challenges, including resolving the issues at the Coach House, and restoring unused and previously unloved buildings within the site.”

Bespoke Inns’ plans include comprehensive investment, with a focus on sensitive restoration, careful refurbishment and creating spaces that honour the heritage of The Hart while enhancing its appeal for residents, visitors, and the local community alike.
