Pub among best for Sunday lunch

The Boot Inn has been named among the best in the country when it comes to serving up the best Sunday lunch.

The pub, at Repton, recently made The Guardian’s list of 30 of the best UK pubs in which to enjoy a slap-up Sunday lunch, following a visit by one of its writers.

The list was compiled following visits to pubs the length and breadth of the country, from the Isle of Skye to Hastings.

The Boot review praises both the food and its range of beers from local breweries, including the pub’s own range of ales brewed on-site.

Claire Knowles, marketing manager for The Boot, which is part of Bespoke Inns, said: “We’re absolutely delighted. Our Sunday lunches are phenomenal, and they are all made using fresh ingredients.

“It’s a really high-profile paper and we are listed among the finest in the county which is a real achievement for us.”
