A video series produced by Goldbox Productions has helped a university scoop an award for digital engagement.

Content created by the Derby firm for University of Nottingham Sport has helped it win the 2025 BUCS (BUCS Universities & Colleges Sport) Digital Engagement Award.

The series of videos delivered by Goldbox included a powerful campaign on male athlete mental health and another on para-athlete visibility and inclusion.

It also produced an American football documentary.

To date, the videos have amassed more than half a million views.

Joshua Spaticchia, from Goldbox, said: “University of Nottingham Sport has been one of our most loyal and forward-thinking clients, always trusting in our creative direction – and it’s been incredible to see that trust translate into a real impact within their audience and students.”

Ben Summerscales-Grant, digital marketing executive at University of Nottingham Sport, said: “It has been a brilliant experience working with the team at Goldbox on a number of projects with a range of differing outputs – all of which have been delivered to a fantastic standard.

“Our conversational series covering a number of important topics to our student audience was produced in a highly informative but also engaging way.

“The series has also had a key impact with our students as engagement among disabled students increased by 11% and engagement among black students rose by 64% over the last 12 months.

“We thank the Goldbox team for their highly professional and friendly approach in helping us to achieve this.”
