Print firm gives backing to epic charity cycling challenge
Essential Print Services has announced its backing of a local emergency services worker, who is set to embark on an epic cycling challenge in aid of a mental health charity.
Liam Reeves is set to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats on a Brompton folding bike in support of mental health charity Mind.
Covering almost 1,000 miles from the south-western tip of England to the northernmost point of mainland Scotland, the challenge aims to raise funds and awareness for mental health support services across the UK.
For Liam, the ride is about far more than completing a physical challenge.
He said: “I’m taking on this challenge not just for the ride, but for something much closer to home.
“Through my work in the emergency services, I see first-hand just how many people are struggling.
“Mental health calls are constant, and the NHS is under real pressure trying to support everyone who needs help.
“That’s why I’m supporting Mind. They provide vital services like helplines, local support groups and practical advice for people who often don’t know where to turn.
“If this ride can raise even a bit of awareness and help support that work, then it’s worth every mile.”

Essential Print Services was the first organisation to sponsor Liam’s ambitious journey and has remained a committed supporter throughout his fundraising campaign.
Yvonne Gorman, director of Essential Print Services, said: “When Liam first shared his plans, we immediately recognised the passion and purpose behind the challenge.
“What he is doing is truly remarkable, not only because of the scale of the ride, but because of the important message he is carrying with him.
“Mental health affects so many people, whether personally, through family members or colleagues.
“Liam’s willingness to share his own experiences and use this challenge to support Mind is incredibly inspiring.
“We are honoured to support him on this journey and help raise awareness for such a vital cause.”
Liam said: “Essential Print Services were our first sponsors to come on board.
“Since then, Yvonne has been amazing. Supportive doesn’t even scratch the surface.
“Without her and the rest of the sponsors, this ride would not be possible.
“Thank you for believing in me and for helping turn this challenge into a reality.”
