New partner and promotions at law firm

Nelsons has announced the promotion of four staff in its family law, dispute resolution and corporate departments.

Children’s law specialist Gareth Protheroe has been promoted to partner from legal director, while solicitors Ruby Ashby, Liz Mills and Natasha Roberts have also been promoted to senior associates.

Gareth’s expertise covers a wide range of children’s law, including care proceedings representing parents and children and private children matters.

He said: “It’s always great to have your work recognised – however, I couldn’t have got to where I am now without my colleagues.

“Often the work we do is complex with tight timescales, so teamwork is essential. For this reason, the department continues to go from strength to strength so I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
