To mark the 15th anniversary of the Food and Drink Awards, Marketing Derby is producing a special guide, containing the best places to eat and drink in the city.

It will feature more than 50 past winners of the awards spanning the last 15 years.

It will be divided into sections, one focusing on ‘eating’ and the other on ‘drinking.

And it will be sponsored by App4 , one of the UK’s leading providers of end-to-end mobile app, online, and instore ordering solutions for takeaways, restaurants, bars, cafes, and other hospitality businesses.

Ian Chambers, founder and chief executive of App4, said: “App4 is delighted to sponsor the Marketing Derby Food and Drink Awards on their 15th anniversary.

“We are very passionate about supporting food service businesses across Derby and Derbyshire – and the awards really fly the flag for the very best the city and county has to offer.

“Having helped support hospitality businesses with online ordering and digital marketing services for almost 10 years, we understand how important it is for food and drink businesses to get as much exposure and support as possible –  even more so in the tough economic times we are currently facing.

“App4 has long-standing relationships with several previous winners, including Spice Lounge, in Friar Gate, who have won multiple Food and Drink Awards and have really seen the benefits the awards bring in terms of marketing and recognition.

“Another award-winning business we have supported is George’s Tradition.

“During the pandemic, we developed a bespoke click and collect system to keep them trading and got them up and running within seven days.

“In more recent months we have been working closely with them to introduce self-service kiosks to improve the customer ordering experience and help the business alleviate staff shortages.

“Our food and drink sector has a very bright future, with the impending re-opening of the Market Hall being key to maintaining a vibrant food and drink scene, adding to the variety the city has to offer.

“We really look forward to seeing the wide range of businesses that are nominated for this year’s awards and can’t wait to celebrate them all at the awards ceremony on 9 October.”

Copies of the new guide will be distributed on the night of the awards, with remaining copies inserted into Innovate, Marketing Derby’s quarterly business magazine.
