New Derbyshire Investment Prospectus breaks cover at ABE

At this year’s Annual Business Event, attendees got their first glimpse of a brand-new prospectus showcasing more than £1 billion of investment opportunities in Derbyshire.

The Derbyshire Investment Prospectus, produced by Marketing Derby’s Invest in Derbyshire service on behalf of Derbyshire County Council and Derbyshire Economic Partnership, provides a snapshot of the key regeneration opportunities across the county.

These range from major sites which will help drive economic prosperity and support a growing population, to smaller projects at the heart of communities.

In total, 23 projects are featured, spanning the length and breadth of the county.

They include major schemes, such as the Woodville Regeneration Area, Sinfin Moor, New Stanton Park, Peak Resort and Chesterfield Waterside.

In his foreword, Councillor Tony King, cabinet member for clean growth and regeneration at the county council, writes: “This prospectus showcases the major regeneration opportunities in Derbyshire, from urban locations to rural sites in spectacular landscapes.

“The combination of sites coming forward are real ‘game changers’ that will lead the continuing regeneration of Derbyshire and lead to the success of your business.”

Meanwhile, a suite of brand-new films has been produced to help promote Derbyshire as a place to live, work, play and invest.

Video marketing and corporate video specialist Future Proof Films was commissioned by Marketing Derby to produce the films for its Invest in Derbyshire service to showcase to potential investors the opportunities the county presents.

All the films are centred around the proposition ‘Why invest in Derbyshire?’.

The first focuses on innovation, the second is themed around connectivity and the third, which was shown at the Annual Business Event, looks at the quality-of-life Derbyshire offers as a place to live.

The prospectus will be formally launched at a special Marketing Derby Talking Business Live session, which will take place on Wednesday 9 March, from 9am to 9.45am.
