Mazars achieves 12th consecutive year of growth

International audit, tax and advisory firm Mazars has reported record results, with revenues rising for a 12th consecutive year.

The firm said that for the financial year ended 31 August, it achieved revenue of £234 million, an increase of £29.4 million, or 14%, on the previous year.

The performance has allowed the company to recruit more than 1,100 new staff across the business.

In the UK, Mazars has approximately 130 partners and more than 2,500 employees based at offices across the country, including the East Midlands.

Phil Verity, chief executive at Mazars, said: “Throughout 2021 one common thread has remained unbroken across our firm: the resilience and adaptability of our people.

“Despite multiple lockdowns, remote working and any number of individual and collective challenges, our teams have provided outstanding positive support for our clients in these challenging times.”

Mazars saw growth across the business, with assurance and internal audit revenue up 25% to £98.4 million, tax and financial planning up 8% to £48.1 million, while financial advisory, consulting and outsourcing was also up 8% to £87.5 million.
