Market Hall announces new calendar of markets and festivals
A new calendar of speciality markets and festivals has been announced for Derby City Council’s Derby Market Hall.
Following the success of its new Farmers’ Markets, the venue will be hosted a variety of events and speciality markets in partnership with Derby Uncovered.
The upcoming programme will highlight local artisans, vintage memorabilia, and festivals celebrating craft beers, wines and spirits.

It includes Artisans Uncovered, which will take place on 11 and 12 July and 10 and 11 October.
For history and nostalgia lovers, the Vintage and Memorabilia Fairs will take place on weekends in June, September and December.
In the summer, the Derby History Festival, which takes place on the weekend of 22 and 23 August, will bring the city’s past to life through immersive exhibitions and expert storytelling.
Drink enthusiasts can enjoy the Craft Beers, Wines and Spirits Festivals on Friday 12 to Sunday 14 June and Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October.
These festivals celebrate independent brewers and distillers, offering bold flavours and festival energy in one of Derby’s most iconic locations.
Finally, Derby Market Hall will host the Haunted Derby Festival on the weekend of 17 and 18 October.
Councillor Nadine Peatfield, city council leader and cabinet member for city centre, regeneration, strategy and policy, said: “The Farmers’ Markets have already been a huge success, so I’m thrilled our continuing partnership with Derby Uncovered is bringing such an exciting mix of events to the Market Hall.
“By celebrating our talented local traders and Derby’s unique history, we’re creating a space where the community can come together to experience the city’s creative spirit.”
Alongside these events, the popular Farmers’ Markets will continue throughout the year.
Visitors are also encouraged to explore the Market Hall’s permanent traders and vibrant street food dining area.
