Law firm bolsters property team

Nelsons has bolstered its commercial property team in Derby with new leadership.

Following his promotion to partner, Paul Hinchliffe has relocated from the law firm’s Nottingham office to head up the Derby team.

Paul will work with Sarah Burns, who was recently been promoted to senior associate, trainee solicitor, Amy Birkinshaw and consultant Martin Jinks.

Paul’s appointment comes after strong 2022 performance for the property team and signs of rising demand in the retail and industrial market.

Paul said: “The increase in commercial property transactions across Derby and Derbyshire is a major driver for the strengthening of our services at this office.

“There has been no slowdown in the market and we’re seeing a real demand for retail and industrial properties.

“I’m thrilled to be leading a great team in Derby, which has been made possible through the support I have received from Nelsons and my colleagues.”
