Heating technology giant Vaillant Group will represent the region at national awards, which recognise the UK’s top manufacturers.

After enjoying success at the Made in the Midlands Awards earlier this year, Vaillant will now be going for glory at Insider’s Made in the UK Awards.

The firm will be competing in the Manufacturer of the Year (Over £25m) category, alongside other major firms from across the country.

Earlier this year, the firm, which has its UK headquarters at Belper, announced it was to open a new production site at St. Modwen Park Derby, a brand-new industrial scheme being built by St. Modwen Logistics.

Expected to be open in 2024, the 12,000 square metre unit, which will create more than 200 jobs, will allow Vaillant to meet the increasing demand for heat pumps.

The Made in the UK Awards are set to take place in Liverpool on 29 June.
