Golf day raises over £13k for children’s charity

More than £13,000 has been raised from a charity golf day in aid of Over The Wall Camp.

The event, which took place at Breadsall Priory Golf and Country Club, saw businesses come together for a day of golf, networking and fundraising.

Cash raised will support the children’s charity’s work providing residential camps filled with joy, confidence and carefree childhood moments for children and young people living with serious health challenges, as well as their families.

Sophie Parkins, senior regional development manager at Over The Wall Camp, said: “The money raised could fund eight children to attend one of our life-changing residential camps and rediscover the magic and mischief of childhood, help raise their self-confidence and learn resilience, make new friends and create lifelong memories.

“Everyone was extremely generous on the day, and we are grateful to all the participants, lunch guests, event sponsors and prize donors.”
