Freight specialist expands into larger offices

An air, road and sea freight specialist has grown its presence at an office complex in Derby.

AGI’s new 3,776 sq ft office at Cardinal Square is three times the size of its previous office there – and will set the company up for further growth in the region.

AGI Derby director Dale Cross said: “It’s a great step up for us, but what’s even better is that it’s just down the corridor from where we were before.

“Cardinal Square is ideally located for our needs and near to amenities.

“It is designed to consider the wellbeing of our team too, which will also help us recruit as we expand.

“We have big plans for the East Midlands following rapid growth of the business.

“All the team are pleased to be staying at Cardinal. We are looking forward to welcoming new people and growing into the new space as we deliver our strategic growth plans.”

David Dyas, asset manager for Nurton Developments, which owns Cardinal Square, said: “We’re pleased to be retaining AGI in Derby city centre and helping them expand their presence in the region, signing them up for another six-year lease.

“Cardinal has always been an office to help nurture businesses and, as a landlord, we welcome conversations and are open to looking at how we can use the space to offer flexibility and opportunity for occupiers to realise their ambitions.

“AGI is a classic example of a company looking for a base, taking a two-man office three years ago, then a five-desk office 15 months ago expanding into 1,100 sq and now trebling their space requirements.

“The next few years look set to be exciting for AGI and we look forward to watching and playing a supporting role in their continued success.”
