Derby City Council is offering Marketing Derby Bondholders involved in engineering – or related industries – free exhibition space at a forthcoming event, which aims to increase diversity in the sector.

Taking place at Derby College’s Roundhouse on Wednesday 1 February, from 12noon to 6pm, the Diversity In2 Engineering Apprenticeship and Jobs Fair hopes to ignite an interest in engineering and inspire underrepresented groups to consider a career in the sector.

It also aims to support employers who have vacancies to reap the rewards of a diverse workforce and help meet the increasing recruitment and skills needs of the sector.

The event will host 28 employers, deliver four workshops and aims to attract more than 800 attendees.

Bondholders who are already attending include Alstom, Vaillant Group, Rolls Royce and East Midlands Railway.
