Firm shows its mettle with latest collaboration

Midland Lead has announced a new collaboration, which will see it support the development of the next generation of roofers.

The firm has teamed up with Master Roofers UK, the UK’s largest roofing community, to become its official lead sheet partner.

As part of the agreement, Master Roofers UK opened a new training facility this month, which offers a variety of courses such as lead welding and bossing, slating and tiling and lead fabricating.

By combining Master Roofers UK’s reach with Midland Lead’s technical expertise and materials, the academy will provide practical, real-world training to preserve traditional roofing skills that remain essential to the trade.

Kyle Hazeldine, sales and marketing director at Midland Lead, said: “There’s a well-documented skills shortage in the construction industry, and we’ve always been keen to champion this industry growth, and support the development of specialist roofing skills.

“We’ll be providing all the lead for the Master Roofers Training Academy, so students can get fully ‘hands-on’ with real-life materials and equipment.”
