EMR offers Greatest Gathering mementoes

East Midlands Railway is offering train enthusiasts a chance to grab a memento from a major rail festival hosted by Alstom earlier this month.

From 1 to 3 August, the train-maker hosted The Greatest Gathering at its Litchurch Lane site in Derby.

The sell-out event, the largest rail festival of its kind in the world, attracted more than 40,000 visitors over the three days.

For the event, EMR produced special Derby station platform tickets so that excited train fans could watch as the special rolling stock came and went to Alstom’s Litchurch Lane Works – with all donations going to Dementia UK.

Hundreds of tickets were sold, but there are still a limited number available for those who want a lasting souvenir of the special event.
