Electric Daisy takes starring role in TV show

Down to Earth Derby’s Electric Daisy venue has been featured in an episode of the BBC’s flagship gardening programme Gardener’s World.

The site, in Bold Lane, was recently visited by the show for a feature on the work it is doing in the community to connect people with nature.

The segment sees founder Jamie Quince-Starkey share his own personal journey and how he came up with the idea for Down to Earth – and subsequently, Electric Daisy.

While giving the cameras a tour of the site – and the eclectic array of plants within it – he explains how his organisation is pushing for nature-based regeneration.

Speaking on the show, he said: “It’s got the power to connect us together and create community.

“It makes me proud people are connecting with our story and want to be part of it. We’ve still got a long way to go but we’re making it happen.”
