Developer SEGRO plc has reported a strong third quarter performance, with headline rents up on last year.

The firm, which develops and operates industrial and logistics assets, including SmartParc SEGRO Derby, contracted £70 million of new headline rent between 1 January and 30 September, which is 32% up on the same period last year.

It has also seen an average 43% uplift on UK rent reviews, renewals and regears.

SEGRO has completed 152,500 sq metres of new development space so far in 2026, equating to £13 million of potential headline rent.

SmartParc SEGRO Derby is a £300 million development, situated on a 155-acre regenerated brownfield site, focused on food manufacturing and distribution.

The site is already home to giants such as HelloFresh and Greggs – and this summer, catering giant Compass Group UK & Ireland announced plans to open a 107,639 sq ft ‘Cuisine Centre’ at the site.

Marketing Derby’s latest Innovate Magazine features an interview with Dan Holford, head of national markets at SEGRO. To read it, click here.
