Derby set to host landmark annual transport summit

Derby will provide the setting for a major transport summit, hosted by the East Midlands Combined County Authority.
The 9th Annual Local Transport Today (LTT) Conference is due to take place on 18 and 19 November at The Derby Conference Centre.
With its world-renowned railway and status as the soon-to-be home of the Great British Railways headquarters, Derby is seen as the perfect backdrop for a national conversation on the future of mobility, innovation and connectivity.

Recently, Derby’s Alstom site also hosted The Greatest Gathering as part of Rail 200, proving its status as a national centre for rail innovation and pride.
Over two days, the LTT Conference will unite leading voices from industry, academia and the charity sector to explore the bold policies and cutting-edge solutions shaping the next generation of transport.
Delegates will hear directly from Mayor of the East Midlands, Claire Ward, and EMCCA chief executive, Amy Harhoff, alongside a host of other influential speakers.
A major highlight will be EMCCA’s exclusive “Showcase Session”, where the East Midlands takes centre stage to demonstrate how the region is driving forward transformation in transport and connectivity.
Mayor Claire said: “We’re delighted to bring the LTT conference to Derby – a city with both a proud transport heritage and a bold, innovative future.
“This summit puts the East Midlands at the centre of the national conversation, showing how we’re shaping a smarter, greener, more connected future for transport.”
