Derbyshire County Cricket Club will continue its partnership with Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity for the 2025 season.

As its official charity partner, the club will support the charity in its fundraising efforts, helping to raise money and awareness, which will directly improve the experience and care for patients, staff and visitors.

The partnership will also offer patients undergoing rehabilitation the chance to attend matches, providing a welcome escape from the challenges of hospital life and aiding their recovery.

In addition, tickets will be gifted to dedicated NHS staff and charity fundraisers as a ‘thank you’ for their hard work and support.

Jill Matthews, chief charity officer at Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Derbyshire County Cricket Club.

“This collaboration will not only help us raise essential funds to support patients, visitors and staff across our hospitals, but also increase awareness of the important work we do in the community.

“We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead and are grateful for the club’s support.”

Jimmy Drew, the cricket club’s commercial manager, said: “We are delighted to support Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity as our official charity partner.

“Our club is committed to making a positive impact in our community, and we believe the continuation of this partnership will enable us to do just that.

“We encourage our fans and members to get involved in the fundraising activities and show their support for this fantastic charity.”

Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity plays an important role in enhancing patient care and supporting staff welfare across the hospitals in Derby and Burton.

The contributions from the cricket club partnership will fund critical projects such as new medical equipment, patient comfort enhancements and pioneering research initiatives.
