Creatives urged to back HOPE exhibition


Local artists and creatives are being invited to showcase their talents at a special exhibition at Derby City Council’s Market Hall, which will be held to mark The Baton of Hope coming to the city.
The Baton of Hope UK, which aims to promote suicide prevention, will be touring the UK in September and October.

On 13 September, it will be coming to Derby, carried across a dedicated route by over 100 people across the city.
It will be the largest event across the UK tour, with eight events taking place along the route, including summer fetes, leader lives, emergency services open day, finale events and the Exhibition of HOPE at Derby Market Hall.
Local artists and creatives are invited to get involved in the exhibition, which will run from 12noon to 7pm on the day.
The exhibition theme surrounds HOPE, with interest in artworks and activities that focus on mental health and arts for health and wellbeing.
