Consultancy welcomes Castleward final phase submission

BSP Consulting has welcomed the submission of plans for the final phase of the £100 million Castleward regeneration project.

Last month, it was announced that plans for phase five, which involves building 167 new homes around Canal Street and New Street, had been lodged with Derby City Council.

Castleward is a partnership project between the city council, regeneration specialists Compendium Living, housing developer Lovell Partnerships, and Homes England.

BSP has provided full civil, structural and transport engineering services for the project since concept stage and announced the company’s role in the development in 2011.

When completed, in total nearly 700 new homes will be provided at Castleward, in addition to green space and nearly 35,000 sq ft of commercial retail space.

It is a long-term placemaking project, which is being delivered over a period of 15 to 20 years.
