City deals round-up
A brace of new arrivals in Derby’s Cathedral Quarter heads the list of deals done in Derby in recent weeks.
Cavendish & London Property Group has welcomed two new tenants to its Derby commercial portfolio.
Perfect Technique Aesthetics brings its specialist aesthetics training academy to Sadler Gate, while The Sandwich Shop Derby will soon be open for business within the kiosk unit at Royal Buildings.

In a statement, Cavendish & London said: “Both tenants reflect the type of occupiers we are proud to support; ambitious, community-focused operators that contribute to vibrant, sustainable high street spaces.
“We’re pleased to welcome these independent businesses to our growing commercial portfolio in Derby city centre.”
Staying with retail, Derbion has revealed that YoSwirl – a new self-serve frozen yoghurt experience – is set to join the centre after winning the centre’s annual retail initiative, Hatch.
YoSwirl will open its first retail location at Derbion after winning up to 12 weeks of free retail space and marketing support.

The arrival of YoSwirl forms part of Derbion’s successful Hatch competition, now in its eighth year, that has already helped launch several successful brands including Design 44, 1NE. and Spirit Crystals, which continue to trade at the centre today.
Beth McDonald, managing director at Derbion, said: “We’re delighted to announce YoSwirl as the winner of our Hatch competition this year.
“We’re proud that our Hatch initiative continues to support local entrepreneurs and bring exciting new concepts to the centre and look forward to our visitors discovering the vibrant new space soon.”
Finally, acting on behalf of private clients, FHP Property Consultants has completed the letting of a unit in Mansfield Road, Derby.

The property has been let for a term of five years to an expanding car dealership.
Harry Gamble, from FHP, said: “It was great to see the turnaround on this property being let within four weeks of the initial marketing period.
“Within Derby we receive numerous motor trade enquiries which are particularly hard to fulfil.
“However, it goes to show that if this use is accepted, the property will be snapped up quickly.
“It was a great result for FHP and our client, and we both wish the tenant every success in the future.”
