Umbrella Derby and Derbyshire has paid tribute to a city pub, which has raised more than £140,000 for the charity over the years.

For over a decade, The White Swan, in Littleover, holds a popular August bank holiday fundraising weekend, made up of a charity golf day on the Sunday and a family fun day at the pub on the bank holiday Monday.

All proceeds go to the Derby-based charity, which supports disabled children, young people and their families.

This year’s weekend raised £22,000 – and the cheque was recently handed over to Umbrella.

Laura Bowey, chief executive at Umbrella, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the incredible fundraising team at the White Swan for their amazing work supporting Umbrella – they have now raised over £140,000 over the last 14 years.

“We are so grateful for the difference you have made to the children and young people we support.”
