Global IT firm Bam Boom Cloud has this week opened its new HQ in Derby city centre.

Following its MBO in 2021, the company has gone from strength to strength, expanding from 90 to 120 employees, and today the UK team are thrilled to be located in the Derby Cathedral Quarter.

Bam Boom Cloud Chairman Brett Critchley, said “This is such a positive move for us coming into Derby. The buzz throughout our business is infectious. We can all see the huge plans for this amazing city, and I am so excited to have Bam Boom Cloud as part of it.

“The support we have had from Derby City Council and Marketing Derby has been incredible and we are so grateful for all of the help we have had to make phase one come to life.”

Bam Boom Cloud and Staton Young have renovated the previously empty building at 10 Wardwick, transforming it into an innovative and modern space that supports the new reality of post-pandemic hybrid working.

The building has been completely redesigned, creating a floor of hot desks and breakout workspaces, and a floor for meeting rooms and individual call pods. The space encourages collaborative working while supporting the need for the team to make calls with clients and their global colleagues.

Phase 2 of the new office will be completed in March, creating a ground floor social and events space, with additional working areas as the business continues to grow.

During the new office’s construction, the team have made use of various temporary office spaces around Derby, most recently on Pride Park where they have been supported by East Midlands Chamber.

CEO Vicky Critchley, adds: “Our business began in Derby so there was no question over where our Global HQ would be located. Our team love the additional benefits of being located in the city centre, and we can’t wait to welcome our global colleagues to this great city!”

Paul Simpson, CEO of Derby City Council and John Forkin, MD of Marketing Derby, paid a visit to the offices on its first day commenting: “This is a win-win – a repurposed historic building that has been empty for decades, a new office for a growing tech company operating worldwide and new customers for local businesses – the City Council and Marketing Debry have worked closely to help make this happen.”

Bam Boom Cloud are IT experts with over 25 years of experience, simplifying Microsoft cloud technology so small and medium businesses can grow strong and fast.
