Award-winning country hotel marks 20 years in business
Morley Hayes is celebrating a landmark anniversary as it turns 20 years old.
Since its launch, the boutique four-star hotel has become a standout destination in the region’s hospitality scene, known for its charm, quality, levels of service and stunning views across the Derbyshire countryside.
As the family-owned hotel celebrates its 20th year, it continues to earn national recognition for excellence.
It was recently ranked among the top 1% of hotels worldwide in the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best awards.
Climbing three places from 2024, the hotel is now 13th in the UK’s Top 25 Hotels rankings and remains the only hotel in the Midlands to feature on the prestigious list for the second consecutive year.

Morley Hayes was also named Best Hotel in Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire in the Muddy Stilettos Awards for both 2024 and 2025.
The 32-bedroom hotel also boasts a 4.9 rating on TripAdvisor, reflecting the consistently high standards delivered over the years.

As well as accommodation, Morley Hayes boasts a choice of three restaurants – the award-winning two AA rosette Dovecote restaurant, Roosters and the Spike Bar.
Golf facilities include the championship 18-hole Manor course and a nine-hole Tower course, along with a 26-bay, all-weather floodlit driving range, pavilion and golf academy.
