Matthew Montague Architects has been appointed to work in partnership with Derbyshire County Cricket Club to design new, improved facilities at The Incora County Ground.

As well as cricket, the ground hosts a wide range of events, from weddings and gala dinners to conferences and large-scale concerts and events.

Chief executive Ryan Duckett said: “We are committed to investing in our facilities and continuing to improve the customer experience at The Incora County Ground.

“We are a diverse venue and it’s important to us that our facilities are of a high standard and that is why we are looking forward to working with Matthew Montague Architects, who have understood our needs and vision for this project.”

Matthew Montague said “Derbyshire are committed to improving the on-site customer experience. We have a defined brief and are hoping to include a little design flair into the new buildings.”

A planning application for the new facilities is expected to be submitted before the end of the summer.
