A director at Morrison Design is set to take on his first triathlon in more than decade in aid of the architectural practice’s charity of the year.

In September, Peter Newman-Earp will take on the Derby Triathlon, completing a 400m swim, 18km cycle and 5km run in support of Ménière’s and Vestibular UK.

Having last competed in a triathlon more than 10 years ago, Peter is now back in training and putting in the hard work ahead of the challenge, with the Morrison Design team following his progress and supporting his fundraising efforts.

Ménière’s and Vestibular UK provide vital support to people living with balance disorders, dizziness and hearing conditions, while also funding research and raising awareness of these often-misunderstood conditions.

Peter said: “It’s been a long time since I last took on a triathlon, so I know there’s plenty more training to put in between now and September.

“It’s a great challenge to get stuck into, but more importantly, it’s an opportunity to raise money and awareness for a really worthwhile cause.

“I’m looking forward to representing Morrison Design on the day and hopefully raising as much as we can for Ménière’s and Vestibular UK.”

The challenge forms part of Morrison Design’s wider fundraising activity for its 2026 Charity of the Year.

The practice, which has been based in Derby since it was founded in 1948, regularly supports charitable causes through team fundraising activities and events.
