Apprentices’ stories to inspire others

To support National Apprenticeship Week, apprentices at Pennine Healthcare have been sharing their stories in the hope of inspiring others to explore the same career route.

The medical manufacturer is celebrating the week by sharing the first-hand experiences of its apprentices.

The firm’s latest apprentice is Georgie Byatt, who works within the firm’s marketing team, assisting the production of social media content and blog writing.

She started university in September but chose to follow a different route by starting an apprenticeship in digital marketing.

She said: “I really enjoy applying creativity to my work, which working in the marketing team allows me to do.”

In a statement, Pennine said: “Here at Pennine we are proud to work with our community and have the platform to provide opportunities to our local young people.

“As a Derby-based manufacturer, we currently have three apprentices working for us, experiencing in-house training, a competitive salary, and valuable qualifications.”
