Antiques Roadshow set to roll in

Cromford Mills has announced it will welcome the popular television show The Antiques Roadshow to the historic site later this year.

The show will be visiting the mills on Tuesday, 28 May, where its team of experts will value the cherished antiques which are brought along by the public.

The visit will also showcase the 18th century mills, as well as a recent project to bring waterpower back to the site after more than 250 years.

In a statement, Cromford Mills said: “The Antiques Roadshow’s visit promises to be a highlight, showcasing the timeless charm and significance of our site on a global stage.

“We will be celebrating the installation of our new turbine-operated waterwheel, bringing waterpower back to the site after over 250 years, and taking forward our green energy ambitions.”
