Accountancy firm invites nominations for free support
Ascentant Accountancy is inviting nominations for a new initiative offering three organisations a year of free support.
The initiative will provide professional accountancy support to three deserving organisations:
One Community Interest Company (CIC) in Ripley and surrounding areas
One Community Interest Company (CIC) in Derby and surrounding areas
One LGBTQ+ owned business
Ascentant is now inviting people to nominate organisations that they believe could benefit from professional accountancy support.
Nominations can be made by the organisation itself or by someone who knows and supports its work.

Kevin Drew, founder of Ascentant, said: “We want to give something back to the communities and businesses around us and recognise organisations that are making a genuine difference.
“Whether it’s a CIC doing brilliant work in the local community or an LGBTQ+ owned business with big ambitions, we know that access to professional accountancy support can make a real difference.
“We want to hear from people about the organisations they believe deserve that support.”
Nominators are asked to provide details about who they are nominating, what the organisation or business does, why they believe it deserves the support, and how having access to an accountant could make a difference.
There is no cost to nominate, and nominees do not need to be existing Ascentant clients.
Where someone nominates another organisation or business, Ascentant will contact the nominee directly if they are selected.
Nominations close on Monday 5 October with winning recipients announced on Monday 19 October.
