Accountants Mazars has announced the appointment of three new partners across its East Midlands offices.

The new partners are Andrew Hickson and Mark Surridge, in the firm’s audit department and Claire Cowen in tax advisory.

Andrew has worked with owner managed businesses, private equity-backed groups and infrastructure asset holding entities, while Mark is the sector leader for local government external audit at Mazars.

Claire joined the firm in 2018 and advises clients on international tax issues, while also being the global tax lead for Mazars’ consumer sector proposition.

Chief executive Phil Verity said: “Having strength and depth of expertise across our regional offices is integral to enabling us to deliver the highest standard of work for all of our clients.

“We’re therefore delighted to appoint partners in the East Midlands, as well as several other locations.

“These appointments are testament to their expertise and the commitment they have shown to their clients and the firm. They should all be very proud of reaching this significant milestone.”
