Sale of student development scheme completes
BB&J Commercial has announced the completion of the sale of a student accommodation development scheme.
Within two days of advertising the opportunity in Slack Lane, a deal was agreed with the buyer – and then completed within a matter of weeks.
The site benefits from planning consent for the new student development, which compromises 44 rooms split into nine apartments, over three floors.
Mark Richardson, partner at BB&J Commercial, took the lead on the disposal of the prominent city centre site.
He said: “I was absolutely delighted to firstly get a sale agreed on the site within a few days of marketing, and then to get the deal completed within a few short weeks.
“It has been one of the smoothest transactions I have known.
“The speed of the deal and all party’s commitment to seeing it through so quickly not only demonstrates the strong demand for student accommodation close to the expanding University of Derby in the city centre, but the underlying strength in the land market in general.”
