Geldards advise on sale of major brands

The corporate team at law firm Geldards has advised on the sale of two major brands, which belonged to EMB Group.

The firm, which has its Derby offices on Pride Park, advised EMB on the sale of its Ascentor and ACM-CCAS brands to Amtivo Group.

Founded in 2005, EMB Group provides consultancy, accreditation and risk management services, as well as the delivery of over 100 publicly-funded programmes.

Amtivo Group specialises in management system certification and creating high performing, sustainable organisations through accredited certification, training and technology-enabled services.

The deal was led by Geldards’ corporate finance team, headed by partner Jenny Chatten, who was supported by solicitor Manjot Shokar and trainee solicitor Hugh White.

Jenny said: “We have a long-standing working relationship with EMB Group and were very pleased to work with them on the sale of these two important brands to Amtivo Group.

“The deal was concluded very smoothly, and we look forward to working with them again in the future.”
